The Registered Irish Draught mare Manu Forti's Lady Heathcliffe is the only Huntingfield Heathcliffe offspring in America. She is a 2002 grey Registered Irish Draught mare by Huntingfield Heathcliffe RID by Timahoe Heather out of Hawklands Silver Rose RID by Hawklands Silver Prince RID by Silver Jasper. She is an outstanding brood mare who is line bred to Timahoe Heather (Woodranger line), and has a full pedigree for generations of some of the best Irish bloodlines. She has great bone, straight limbs, good conformation and is a good mover. This mare has proven to be a very valuable asset to ourbreeding program as we are rare bloodline enthusiastist. She is descended from the Woodranger, Comet, Errigal, Laughton lines.
She has grown to be a big lass, traditional without being coarse, with lots of quality and stands at 16.3hh. She has currenty produced two very nice colts, her first colt by Touch of the Blues and a second colt by Hangon Johnny. We are very excited with what she has produced so far and will be bred to Flag of Diamonds in 2008.
Her dam, Hawklands Silver Rose is a purebred Irish Draught mare who passed her RID inspection in England with flying colors as a two year old. She is a lovely powerful mare who stands over a lot of ground, is 16.2hh with near 10 inch of bone, is very nicely put together and has a fantastic full RID pedigree, and comes from a line of Hornby premiums and champions all throughout her pedigree. In 1998, at the Exborne show, she came in third in the foal class. She then qualified with her Dam for the Penmerryl stud breeding Championships at the Annual Breed show at Uhoxeter Race Course and came in fourth in the foal class. Her Grand Dam, Hawklands Blue Heather, a Hornby premium, by Timahoe Heather out of Roma Blue Wind was herself a premium and a champion at the National show, the Royal and many other top shows in England.
Her Great Grand Dam, Roma Blue Wind by Blue Henry was a supreme champion in Ireland and the U.K. who has produced many champions herself. Rosie is by Hawklands Silver Prince, who is by Silver Jasper out of Knockaney Princess by Slyguff Hero (Full Brother to King Of Diamonds). Silver Prince (RID) is an extremely good looking stallion who stands almost 17hh and measures a full ten inches of bone. He regularly competes in B.S.J.A. Show Jumping, Ridden Hunters and also Fox Hunts. He was the reserve champion, highest placed stallion, winner ridden Hunter champion at the National Irish Draught Show in 1999. In 2000, Prince won the Skippy Two Plate for best Performance Stallion - both the IDHS (G.B) breed shows.
